Public Notice BOOK CLOSING DEADLINE The deadline to register to vote or change your political party affiliation in order to participate in an upcoming election is 29 days before the election. The registration deadlines for 2020 are: General Election: October 5, 2020 If you wish to register to vote or change your political party affiliation, visit RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov.
If you have relocated from another Florida county to Washington County, or relocated within Washington County change your address with the Supervisor of Elections office as soon as possible.
PUBLIC TEST OF VOTE TABULATING EQUIPMENT The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene at the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 1331 South BLVD, Ste. 900, Chipley, Florida at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. The Canvassing Board is convening for the testing of the ballot tabulating equipment to be used for the November 3, 2020 General Election, including early voting. The Canvassing Board may also discuss other matters relating to the November 3, 2020 General Election.
EARLY VOTING DATES AND TIMES FOR PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION Monday, October 19, 2020 – Saturday, October 24, 2020 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday October 25, 2020 – 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 through Saturday, October 31, 2020 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Early voters will have reserved parking in front of the SOE office located at the County Annex. DEADLINE TO REQUEST VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the 2020 General Election is Saturday, October 24, 2020.You may request by calling 638-6230; at www.wcsoe.org; by mail or in person at 1331 South BLVD, Ste. 900, Chipley, FL 32428
VERY IMPORTANT: Please make sure that your signature on file in the Supervisor of Elections Office is current when voting by mail. Florida Statute 101.68 requires that the signature on the vote-by-mail voter certificate must match the voter signature on file in the Supervisor of Elections office.
CANVASS VOTE BY MAIL BALLOTS The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 1331 South BLVD, Ste. 900, Chipley, Florida to canvass vote-by-mail ballots on the following dates: Friday, October 30, 2020 at 9:30 AM, Monday, November 2, 2020 at 1pm and Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 3:00 and 6:00 PM Vote-by-Mail Certificate Envelopes for the 2020 Presidential Preference Primary Election will be available for public inspection one hour prior to each Canvassing Board Meeting.In order to view Vote-By-Mail ballot certificates on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 after 3:00 PM, you must be present. The Canvassing Board will convene on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.to certify the 2020 Primary Election to the Department of State.
CANVASS PROVISIONAL BALLOTS/VOTE-BY-MAIL CURE AFFIDAVITS The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 1331 South BLVD, Ste. 900, Chipley, Florida on November 4, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. to canvass provisional ballots cast and Vote by Mail Cure Affidavits in the 2020 General Election.
AUDIT OF 2020 GENERAL ELECTION VOTING SYSTEM The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene in the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 1331 South BLVD, Ste. 900, Chipley, Florida on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 9:30 AM to conduct an audit of the voting equipment used in the 2020 General Election.
